iPad Support Arrives!

It took a long time, but Apple has approved version 1.6 of our Book of Mormon Trivia game! This version brings iPad support. It’s now a “universal” app, which means that the same app will run on either iPhone or iPad devices.
This update also brings a slight name change. Instead of BoM Trivia, it’s now called Book of Mormon LDS Trivia. There are two main reasons for the change. First, we hope this will make it easier for people to find when doing searches in the app store, and secondly we hope to have more apps in the “LDS Trivia” line, and this name fits better with that.
The next app to add iPad support will be Lost Answers.

New iPhone App: Lost Quotes

Our latest iPhone app has been approved! Lost Quotes is a database of quotes from your favorite Lost characters that you can carry with you wherever you go! We’ll be adding more quotes as time goes on, and more characters too. Just flick and tap to get random quotes from your favorite person, or choose “everyone” to get a mix of all of them!

iPad Support!

The world is a-buzz with news about Apple’s new iPad device. We’re happy to say that all of our existing iPhone apps look pretty good when viewed on the iPad, though a little bit pixelated. We’re going to change that soon though. We are announcing today that the iPad will be an officially supported device for us at Sticky Buzz, and all of our existing applications will be released in iPad native format as well.
New iPhone App: Random Scriptures

Read a random scripture verse with just a single tap! Ever just open your scriptures to a random page and read whatever verse turns up? You’ve probably found that you get less than random results because the book tends to open to similar spots every time. No longer! Now there’s an app for that!
Random Scriptures features the complete King James version of the Holy Bible, plus the entire Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great price.
Use the settings page to choose which books to pull from. View verses from a single book, or from all five, or any combination! Each verse includes a link to let you read the full chapter online.

New App Next Week, And Android Update

Our next app has been submitted to the iPhone app store! This one has to do with the scriptures but will have appeal to any Christian, not just Latter Day Saints. We think you’re going to like it.
If all goes well then it should be released early next week, and we’ll announce more details then!
For all you Android users out there, we’ve heard your requests! Book of Mormon Trivia for Android is now in active development. We don’t have a release date yet, it’s still way too early for that, but rest assured that it’s coming. Once that first one is done and we have the kinks worked out of the process, or other apps should be ported over more quickly.
New iPhone App: Lost Answers – A Trivia Game!

We are very pleased to announce the launch of our latest iPhone app, Lost Answers! This is a trivia game based on ABC’s hit television show Lost. It features questions from all six seasons, in various levels of difficulty. The questions are divided into categories and we are launching with two: The Smoke Monster, and The Swan Station.
If those two categories don’t excite you, don’t worry, we plan on introducing more categories over time! In fact we’re planning to add a page to our web site to allow fans to submit their own questions to be included in future versions of the app.
This opens a new category of television apps for us, and we have several more TV related apps planned. Stay tuned!
Prophets for iPhone has been approved!

We here at Sticky Buzz Software are pleased to announce the approval of our latest LDS application for iPhone! This new app, called Prophets, it a handy pocket reference for all of the modern day prophets. You can see them listed alphabetically or chronologically, and with a tap or two you can read all sorts of useful information about each of them. Information includes important dates such as birth, death, marriage, and ordination, as well as a detailed bio and photo. You can check it out in the Apple app store by clicking here:

Updates and New App!

Book of Mormon Trivia version 1.2 has been released. This was a bug fix build to address app crashes that some users have experienced. There was an issue with the code we were using to provide the sound effects. It has turned out that this was less trivial to fix than we thought, so as much as we loved them, we’ve disabled them for now. This should make for a much more stable experience for everyone while we work to fix it.
In the mean time, we’ve submitted our next app for approval! We’ll announce the full details once it has been approved but for now we’ll just say that this one relates more to our Modern Day…
1s and 0s version 1.0 is Approved!

Book of Mormon Trivia version 1.1 Is Approved!

It’s been a long winding road, but our first update to Book of Mormon trivia has finally been approved! We packed a lot into this update:
- Toggle to turn off the timer
- Increased the time limits for each quiz to be around 9 seconds per question
- Increased the volume of the sound effects
- Button art added
- Higher res background and plates picture
- Added version number and larger link to about us page
- Fixed a bug that would cause the “Time’s up” message to fire while not taking a quiz
- Added a menu button at the top right during the quiz
- Answers to some questions have been corrected
- Fixed the bug that caused the “get results” page to not work for some users by changing to a paginated format instead of the scrolling
We have received the approval notification, and Apple is updating their servers now. If you don’t see the update yet, it should arrive within a few hours.
